Annual Physical Exams
We believe in the power of prevention and preventative care. The annual physical exam is an essential part of any doctor visit. The Annual Physical Exam is an opportunity for our team to spend focused time with our patients to discuss disease prevention and health promotion. During this yearly health maintenance examination, your medical, social, and family histories will be discussed. Medications will be reconciled, and allergies reviewed. This exam is an opportunity for us to properly deliver recommended preventative services based on evidence-based recommendations from the United States Preventative Task Force (USPTF) and the American College of Physicians (ACP).
In addition to obtaining baseline health data, our health care team will perform the following:
- Blood Pressure Screening, Cholesterol screening, Diabetes Screening
- Ensure up to date adult Immunizations (HPV, Tdap or Td, Meningococcal, Influenza, COVID, Shingles, PCV 13, PPSV 23)
- Tobacco use screening & cessation, Depression screening & follow up planning
- Cervical Cancer Screening, Breast Cancer Screening, Colorectal Cancer Screening, Prostate Cancer Screening
- STI Screening
- Osteoporosis Screening
- Statin Therapy
- Order necessary immunizations, laboratory services (CBC, CMP, TSH, Lipid, U/A) and radiology studies
- Provide counseling and anticipatory guidance/risk factor reduction
