The Intuitive da Vinci robotic surgery platform represents the cutting edge of minimally invasive surgeries for benign and malignant diseases of the prostate, kidney and bladder. Through our close affiliation with St. Joseph Hospital in Orange, we are one of the few practices in the country utilizing the new state of the art da Vinci SP system. Using this platform we are able to provide true single incision minimally invasive surgery in the treatment of urologic diseases.

Why surgery with da Vinci?
A review of published studies suggest that potential benefits of a surgery with da Vinci technology include:
- Patients may experience fewer overall complications than patients who had open or laparoscopic surgery.
- Patients may stay in the hospital for a shorter amount of time than patients who had open surgery or shorter or similar time than patients who had laparoscopic surgery.
- Patients may experience less pain than patients who had open surgery.
- Surgeons may be less likely to switch to an open procedure when performing surgery with da Vinci, compared to when performing laparoscopic surgery.
